Redlich Project, Esmeralda County, Nevada
The Redlich Project is located 80 kilometers southeast of Hawthorne, Nevada in the Candelaria Hills, of Esmeralda County, within the Walker Lane Mineral Belt. Redlich is a volcanic rock hosted low-sulphidation system hosted in Tertiary felsic volcanic rocks overlying the Ordovician Palmetto Formation and Permian Diablo Formation. Multiple west-northwest, high-angle banded quartz veins have been identified in surface mapping and historic drilling intersections (e.g. 4.6 m grading 11.3 gpt gold, 1.5 m grading 66.6 gpt gold, and 1.5 m grading 46.2 gpt gold) within a broad zone of low-grade disseminated gold mineralization. The mineralized structural system has been traced for over 1.5 kilometers and is open along strike and at depth. Data compilation suggests that Redlich may host a plus million-ounce gold system.
RED-001C showing silicified diabase breccia. The interval from 285.6 to 286.8 m contains 1.90 gpt Au Eq (0.27 gpt Au and 122 gpt Ag).
KA Gold drilled four core drill holes totaling 1,344 meters in 2018, targeted three different areas. Hole RED-001C cut multiple thick intercepts of low-grade gold and silver mineralization within a +100 meter interval of intensely silicified mineralized breccia averaging 0.22 gpt Au Eq including:
· 15.8 m (273.5-289.3 m) grading 0.38 gpt Au Eq (0.16 gpt Au, 16.6 gpt Ag)
· 14.6 m (297.5-312.1 m) grading 0.33 gpt Au Eq (0.16 gpt Au, 12.9 gpt Ag)
· 13.7 m (323.7-337.4 m) grading 0.34 gpt Au Eq (0.14 gpt Au, 15.3 gpt Ag)
This Discovery, named the DBK target, is hosted by a westerly-trending structure that is partially exposed on the surface and is prominent in gravity and ground magnetic surveys. In drill hole, mineralization is hosted by intensely brecciated and silicified Jurassic (?) diabase.
Very little drilling has been done in the DBK target area to test the extent of gold and silver mineralization. Historic rock-chip sampling within the DBK fault/contact corridor produced multiple results of +1 gpt Au and +200 gpt Ag. Given the obvious analogy to the adjacent past-producing Candelaria open-pit mine, the blind nature of the deposit and an untested strike length of over 2,000 meters, the DBK zone has the potential to be a major discovery of previously unrecognized bulk-minable silver and gold mineralization at Redlich. When combined with the existing historic resource and exploration potential of the main Redlich target, the Redlich Project has an excellent potential to host a significant, economic, precious metal deposit.
The project has been partially reclaimed, however permits are in place for several additional platforms: Redlich is drill-ready. Please contact KA Gold for more information or press the link below to download a factsheet.
